Hi,
Happy Friday the 13th!
I hope you're having a cracker week and looking forward to the weekend. I have some exciting bookish news to share but I'll keep this week's mailer short and sweet <3
NEWS
GoS IS GETTING A REBRAND!
The Guardians of Summerfeld series was released 8 years ago (whut?!) and still has the original covers. In publishing, especially digital, it's good practice to rebrand your covers every few years to keep up with trends, but I haven't been able to bring myself to do it until now.
There are two reasons I've been digging my heels in:
1. I paid a fortune for the dragon artwork on the original covers
2. I love my GoS covers.
With the Shadow Magic series' success, however, I realized it was time to rebrand. GoS doesn't look like an Urban Fantasy series. It seems more like a middle-grade series (Eragon, anyone?) So I finally bit the bullet and commissioned Christian Bentulan, who designed the Shadow Magic covers, to give GoS an upgrade. We begin working on the boxed set and Book 1 in October, and I honestly cannot wait to see what he comes up with. Of course, my newsletter subscribers will see it first, so keep an eye out in the next few weeks :)
